hi guys, i have a mk4 ibiza 1.2 (slow i know) but i was thinking of lowering it and putting the spare set of porsche teledials i have on.Now i was going to go down the route of shock and springs instead of coilovers but i was wondering if you could give me any recommendations as to what is good and where to buy. I dont want it totally slammed, about 40mm im told will look ok. any help would be great . thanks alex

im 26 years old and i used to be into dubs,i had a mk1 golf which was very clean and was on coilovers which had no movement whatsoever (i bought it like this) my x gave me a lot of grief regarding comfort so i regretfully got rid of it, at the time me and me bro went to quite a few shows such as inters ect.. just recently we went to the telford show and edition 38, now i realize i want to put some rims on my car and drop it enough just to sit nice hence asking on here. I would go out and buy something with more power but i will be getting a honda cbr soon and that's going to cost me about £6000 plus £1000 insurance.

im still not sure what relevance my age is to my question.

thanks alex

Because it you were 17-19 etc and insurance was the reason you'd bought a 1.2, I would've said save up for a higher powered car. With this not being case, and presumably with you wanting to keep the car a while, then go for the lowering.
