So i'm due the 2nd service (2 year 20k) soon on 2.0 TDI FR and was wondering what would be considered a good price? I don't want to get stroked by the dealer and pay full price if I can negotiate it down then I will.

How much have folk payed

Cheers:)

Seat uk are doing it as a fixed price with breakdown recovery included. Generally a dealer won`t do it any cheaper with the offer? If you don`t want the breakdown then negociate, I always have and it`s always worked:)

When was the last service and at how many miles? And what type of oil did you change? 5W30? 5w40? Either of them should last you at least 6500 miles or so. 7k miles is not a lot and even though SEAT said it should be service either the next mileage comes first or a year has passed after your service. I guess you are going for a 2nd service reason cos of reaching 12 months?

If that is the case, just ask them to check the air filter and the micro filter only. And it does not even need to change anything or even the oil in my opinion.

Fixed servicing prices only apply to cars older than 3 years. Younger than that you will pay more (still in warranty)
