1.8 20VT MK2 Ibiza Conversion GT2871RS

hi mate im gunna be putting 1.8t engine in when i can find a salvage cupra, im a novice at mechanics, im a quick learner, i know all the gearbox and driveshafts fit off the abf engine which ive got in my ibiza now, what im wanting to do is keep the original dash and that, i can do all the engine myself quite easy, but im wanting to know how do you solve the electrics? ive read your thread and you,ve got that stand alone ecu i think its off this site

is this the right thing i need to buy? or is there a cheaper alternative? do you have to have a cable throttle too? what other things will i need to buy? all the advice and help would be great to make the job easier.
