Well after the car being sat there for 2 weeks without moving due to things being broken, I decided it was time to sort it.

I dropped the car off at a mates garage last night for him to replace my cambelt, water pump, auxiliary belt, wheel bearing and abs sensor. I've had just OE continental timing belt and tensioner fitted with an OE spec water pump but with a metal impella.

All of the is now done, we noticed a that the Downpipe is blowing like mad so ill get a new gasket next week and sort that too.

The abs sensor has stopped my handbrake light flashing but I still need to replace the abs wire on the offside as its knackered.

Finally I just need to find a dry day to replace my wiring loom now :)

Another update on repairs.

Spent the day over Phills, seen the bare shell of what was his Leon, a very upsetting start to a Sunday I must admit. I quickly got over it though :)

We managed to replace my wiring loom in my engine bay, replace a few hoses that looked shite and generally done some tidying up of the bay.
Also fitted my new abs wire as it had worn through.

Much to my disappointment the wiring hasn't solved my starting issue and the abs wire hasn't solved my abs problem a huge thanks none the less to phill as ever :)

Finally fixed the car!

Since October the car has really struggled to start. After replacing just about everything I was stumped with the concern I had serious issue, ie compression etc. :(

I took the car to work and had a vag specialist/colleague/mate/saviour look at it. He quickly identified two issues, the knock sensor wasn't perfect which turned out to be a dodgey connection. The next was my coolant temp sensor. It was reading -10. Replaced it from stock at work and fired her up. Started first time like a dream! :)

Over the moon to say the least, I would never have looked at that so glad he took the time to help.

how was replacing the wiring loom, i need to replace mine aswel... Where did yours from ebay?

It took a full day but we messed about with other bits too. I would definately recommend removing inlet mani to give you the extra room, not particulaly difficult just time consuming:)

Good that it was an easy enough fix, no fault code on the coolant sensor last we scanned it though

There was no fault showing at all, you could only tell by having the measuring blocks open on vagcom while cranking over. The temp was reading very very low and only got lower as you cranked it. A very odd one but relieved to say the least :funk:

Had my new exhaust fitted today. Looks awesome, is just what I was after. My scorpion was too loud for what I want now, this is a lot better. It can barely be heard on idle and only really comes in when on boost.
