Ok thanks,I've had a look at the other forums, I'll get registered an have a good look. Might have to take you up on the rear wiper motor, the German e-bay site wants 135 euros for the int trim kit and motor, I only need the switch out of the trim kit. I've ordered a speedo transducer @ £49 from Seat. They can still supply a heater motor if its a FRAPE make. Going to strip down properly try and grease or lube I'll get the make just incase. The wiper/indic switch is obsolete aswell but they are going to give me the part numbers to try and locate elsewhere. Broke the t/gate trim panel taking it off but it's made of mdf so easy to make one lol!!

If your switches are obsolete mine must be museum pieces!

I think the facelift ibiza's like yours had VW switches, so maybe worth researching some early 90's Polo's.
Unless Alan changed then, you car has Polo headlights as the old owner couldnt find Ibiza 1's when it failed an MOT a couple of years ago.

The boot trim is a joke really, mines probably broke in half by now, its in the boot under some junk Really need to start getting it put back together, as I've been asked to get it ready for a photoshoot for the Ibiza owners magazine.

I'll keep my eyes open for any mk1s for breaking, they do come up in the UK from time to time.

I think your mate may already have an account, and hes gone to register another username, with the same email address.. Which can easily be sorted if he emails the MOD team. They'll sort it out for him

Ok thanks mate. Cool switches , they look like an old arcade game. I fiddled with my wiper switch and the rear wiper fired up but then stopped. I've looked at Polo switches and they look alot beefier than my plastic twigs. Got the part number 19195351901C now and might be able to get some online if contact cleaner doesn't work. Headlamps do look a bit skew, looks like ones going to the shop and the others coming back with the change lol. It looks like the headlamp panel has been cut/modified to make room for the Polo lamps so I don't think the proper ones will fit anymore, they are working and passed mot last time round so they will do for now.

These turned up today. £64 delivered, they're from a 99 Punto, will hopefully be able to fit them without too much modification.

Good luck! I keep looking on ebay, preloved and gumtree for Mk1's Very very rarely come up for sale. Last 1 I saw was a red diesel this time last year, and someone bought that for one of those charity drive across europe. So I'd imagine it got there then got dumped.

I'll try and get some better pics up at the weekend, when this god aweful weather pisses off

The Punto coilovers give me plenty of adjustment, I could sit the engine on the ground if I cranked them all the way down lol

Were these MK1 or MK2 punto coilovers?
Looking at doing the same on my SXI, got jamex shortened struts, 25mm lowering blocks and 35mm lower spax springs on mine at the mo, just got a set of Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo alloys which need a refurb and going to put 195/40/16 or 195/45/16 as they are the same rolling diameter as the original alloys with 185/60/14 that came on the car.
yours is looking very sweet btw.

Hi mate, they're from the Mk2 Punto Post 1999 model

They're FK AK Street SMFI9001

They do need slight adjustment to the lower mounting holes but other than that they're almost a perfect fit.

I've got some new rear shocks to fit, had them since before Xmas, but not had any spare time to get them fitted yet. Hopefully I can get the car delivered down to my unit soon, and then get it MOT ready for the summer.

Hullo all, ain't been on for a while , how's y'all doin? Sadly my mk1 has been having a fuel nightmare and off the road for a month! Sprung a bad leak from one of the fuel pipes in engine bay. Cheap fix , length of braided pipe. Then the fuel pump jacked in. £80 from factors and a bit of modification to housing and terminals required but I'm happy to say she's back on the road. My dizzy is leaking oil aswell. Not badly but I've managed to get genuine rocker and dizzy seal. I got a factors bottom end set for £14 aswell but I'm scared to take sump off in case bolts are seized. Ur car looks bang tidy unibizable bet it's tons of fun on a track. Any updates on urs paul ??

HI Joey,
You will probably find its the camshaft end oil seal thats at fault with the oil leaking from your dizzy, mine is the same at the mo, more of an inconvenience than an issue but you may also find that if you leave it too long it will deteriorate the coolant hoses where it drips. Mine only startrd leaking after I had the head skimmed after blowing the head gasket between cylinders 2 and 3, I got the garage to replace the seals and gaskets at the same time and as you have to have the seal mounted in the head before inserting the cam it can score it causing the leak, it only happens when warm. You can get a full gead gasket set including valve stem seals for about £25 if you look hard enough for it.

Hi PervyPaul,
Did you manage to find a new door lock? I have just seen a pair of brand new Valeo door handles with locks and keys on eBay, if you do a search for Valeo 252315 and Valeo 252316 you should find a left and a right hand.
Hope this helps.

Hey guys, my Ibiza has failed it's MOT!!! To be honest it's not a massive refusal list. RR reg plate lamp not working, OSR Brake binding. Not bad for a 20 year old car. Need the following parts but very expensive from SEAT and they all have to come from Espanyol
SE022744400A frt brake hose
SE021744400A rr brake hose (x2)
SE028165299B rr brake shoes
SE021720001A rr wheel cylinders (x2)
SE022165201a rr brake shoes (not available any more)
I've tried local Eurocarparts but they don't seem interested, going to try another factors but it's not looking good. There's a couple of bits n bobs on e-bay but no point committing if I can't find the lot! If anyone has any suggestions they would much appreciated much is gracias amigos
