What paint protection are you referring to? SureGuard or something?

Short answer, no. They're usually overpriced sealant that wears off quickly and is usually applied poorly.

If you wash it regularly, just use a wax (eg: AutoGlym HD Wax) or sealant (eg: Opti-Seal) every couple of months and you'll be golden.

You could buy a lot of nice products with that £450 and get a better more durable finish.

The dealers rarely know how to properly use the products either so its even more of a waste.

+1. Products like supaguard are a NIGHTMARE to remove on paint if you ever need it corrected/machine polished in the future. £450 pounds would get you an arsenal of waxes and sealants that would give a much better finish an probably better protection

I got the dealer down to £100 for Supguard when ours was new and it lasted about 2 years. Came with a load of shampoo sachets and a bird poo remover so meant I didn't need to spend out on care care for a while.

As mentioned above certainly not worth £450.00 the dealers actually only pay £80 all in for it and its never applied properly. On a separate note I've just noticed your user name you don't happen to be a fellow Ackermann do you?
