Today my beloved stylance had a Mercedes Vito LWB High Top reverse up onto my bonnet.
The damage so far:

2 x Front Headlights
1 x Front Bumper
1 X Bonnet
1 x Driver Side Wing
1 x Passenger Side Wing
1 x Driver Side Door

Cannot open the bonnet to see structural damage on the cross members, or to the rest of the engine bay, however it did have a very heavy van on it and is quite squashed down, however it did run for a few seconds afterwards. No airbags deployed luckily.
its a 2007 TDI Stylance with 60k on the clock, market value probably 4999 ish Im guessing!

Going to be recovered tomorrow or monday, what do you think the
outcome will be?

A photo would help. My bet is that the insurance company will write it off. Those parts without the bodyshop painting charges etc will be a couple of grand themselves.

I will see if i can upload one, weirdly the windscreen is fine!

thought it might be expensive, my missus smacked her car door on a fiat panda and that cost £1500!

id have thought, Grill, Radiator + Coolant , A/c Condensor + Regas and intercooler.

depending on how high up it went, suspension could be damaged also.

yup I had the delight of being in her when it happened!

I tried to get her into reverse but my "cat like" reflexes are not what they used to be and didnt stand a chance :-(

She starts up but has a loud whistling, so Im guessing some damage to a hose or two somewhere.
Also had an issue with condensation in both headlights last week, spent hours sorting it, and now both are smashed / cracked and full of it again lol!

The number of hours labour required to repair will take that past economical repair limit. Start checking book prices etc for when insurance assesor makes an offer

I reckon there is over 60% of the cars value there, 2 wings, bonnet, lights, possibly bumper, then whatever damage it may have done on the underside of the bonnet, the way the wings have kinked down by the bottom of the doors doesn't look good either. Hope it gets sorted in your favour.

yep, pretty gutted myself and will be very sad to see her be written off if that happens, but as a family man, don't have the time to be buying her back and repairing and will need a replacement :-(

I'm afraid to say I think it's going to be written off.

If it were me, I'd get on Autotrader and find a similar vehicle (age, model, mileage) within 50 miles or so and arm yourself with the value before the Insurance make you an unreasonable offer to settle.

"This is what it'll cost me to get back to where I started"

Maybe you'd accept the value of this?
