I think 15 mins at -2 driving at town speeds is normal. Is yours a PD or a CR?

If you do have a problem then it may be a sticky thermostat. Plenty of info on this in the Exeo section. Same engine (CR) but mounted the other way round and different plumbing.

Personally I think yours is normal.

Just so as you know, a diesel engine (especially a lean burning one) will take longer than a petrol engine to warm up. In fact if started from cold on a frosty morning and left ticking over it will probably never get up to 90. Diesel has a better Thermal efficiency, it basically burns cooler.

So if it not heating quick that will effect the heater temp then as it seems a bit cool today but was ok last week when.weather was warmer

Plus if u have the heating on it takes heat from the engine thus causing it to take longer

Mine is the same. I have a 170CR and it takes ages to heat up. If I blow the heater full blast on hot then the temp gauge drops even more. I took it to dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong with it.
