Seat Ibiza tdi pd130 - Opinion on this one

Ok so this popped up on gumtree.

It's a 2003 ibiza pd130 sport, 98k with tax and mot for £1600

It's looks like a decent price, what should I check for and is this too good to be true?

Bit cheap too I'd be doing hpi checks service history cambelt change bushes also check the flywheel for knocking, when you turn the engine off you will hear a knocking!

Depending on your budget my mint 57 plate in kandy white is going up for sale soon for 7250 with only 57k on it

Check that its also not a CAT C or D.

As stated above Hpi check the vehicle. Check service history and condition of vehicle proper. I always check previous mot history for failures and advisories. You will need log book details and previous mot number to do this online. Current owner should have no issue unless hiding something.

In all seriousness, what makes you think a guy looking at a £1600 car will be looking to buy a car for more than £7k?!?!

Cos you get what you pay for matey I've been in a position myself when you buy cheap cars they end up costing you more than a mint car long term!

Not necessarily, but I agree their is the possibility of getting fleeced by a cheap car. Just, though, as you can from buying a more expensive car. Just my two cents and as long as you do your checks you should be ok, that said anything mechanical can break... Less owners and good service records count most in my eyes, but everyone has differing views.

Black 3dr Tdi sport (without the dodgy 6dials thing) PD130 04 plate, FSH, 88k miles, Remapped
Cambelt done when I got it at 65k ish (in 2011)
It's on fabia VRS suspension now also as it's comfier than standard ibiza ones.
Done a few little interior mods too like cupra vents, gear gaitor, hand brake cover and also sunglasses holder.
HID fogs and dipped. LED sides

Asking £2.5k PM if you're interested
