What times can I expect in my boc?

I know it depends on the driver etc and allsorts of other factors.

Also, what is the best way to get the DSG System off the line? S Mode, Brake on until green light then go for it? Or are there other ways?

Mate got a 14.5 in his Polo GTi DSG.

All he done is go for it as soon as it turns green.

In my VXR i bought my rpm up to around 2500 then lifted and i got a 14.8

T/C off and just mash the peddle when it turns green worked for me. Keep it in manual mode and let it change at redline in first and second then manually change it at 6500ish in third and you'll cross the line around 6900 in fourth. If you're remapped and have an induction kit then ignore that and redline all the gears


Best way I found to get a decent start is to come off and on the brake peddle lightly to bring the clutch up, there's about half a second delay in the clutch engaging if you're fully on the brakes when you mash the accelerator. Other way is having the handbrake up and when the lights start to run down (assuming it's not the .400 timing) come off the brakes and let the handbrake hold it until the turn green then mash the peddle.

I got 13.6 at santa pod last year when I was stage 1. Best way I found was in sport mode, handbrake up, 1st and 2nd let it change automatically, then manual change just after 6k

A respectable stock time would be around 15s then?

Come to santapad on the 23rd when quite a few ibizas are going. ill be there running my tdi

stage 1 i got 13.7 but that was with the original revo map which was more aggressive. Stage 2 a year later with better tyres and an induction kit+twin intercooer was 14.1. I struggled with grip off the line and the dsg shortshifting for me. I will try it next time with t/c on which should give better launch.

If you notice all the top times are stg1 revo, and were all before the revo software was re-written due to the engine problems appearing. No ones come close since even with every mod available fitted
