Hi J@mes, i think we talked about this when i saw you last.

When you clay the car you have to except you will get some marrying of the paint. The Autofinesse claybar is very good and should minimize the marring. Only way you can scratch the car is for following reasons

1) Did not wash your car properly i.e. dirt still on the car
2) Not turning/folding the clay bar regularly
3) Not enough lube.

Megs kit is safe enough.

I use Bilt Hamber Clay and when claying I use an open ended hose on trickle so the clay is kept lubed at all times, remember to turn your clay often when it becomes contaminated you will see the dirt appearing in it.
I usually move in straight lines along the paint rather than a rubbing circular motion.
No real pressure is required just guide the paint across the paint surface with your finger tips and make sure it very wet when using BH clay.
The amount of pressure if any imagine your were smoothing icing on a cake with your fingers that is all that is required.
If you have any doubts about the Clay give Bilt Hamber a bell as they support their products 100%
