Fault code 18048 engine control module??

Well been getting a missfire under load, around 4500-5000 rpm, so far fitted a new 3bar pump as mine was no good really need a 4bar one. Changed 2 boltdown coil packs but before I change the other 2 I thought I'd ask about this code?? Any ideas or someone that's had the issue before?

It means there's been some errors in the ECU. I'd clear it and see if it comes back up...hopefully its just a one off!

Cool I will try it, I didn't delete the code after fitting new coil packs so maybe...

Cleared the code still the same, unplugged the maf was even worse and got traction light so it's not that.

Has it been mapped- modded?

A misfire under load can be spark, it can also be fuel.

Aqx yes revo stage 1 217bhp lol well fitted a new 3bar pump as I had one anyway, ordered new spark plugs, just not bringing up a code for the missfire when it usually would

If you goto measuring blocks 14 and 15 is the ecu seeing any misfires?

I see people drop spark plugs and still sell them all day long

Well the plugs that are init now are ones that were init when I bought the car last year lol

Probs not the plugs at all lol have you tried cleaning the earthing point for the coils on the rocker cover?

Yeah all that's mint. If I don't plant my foot it's all good, with smooth throttle motion it's fine, it's when I slam it to the floor it happens.

Have you check the 3 bolts on top of the exhaust manifold?

Yeah mine came lose and caused a feeling like misfire

Was just exhaust gas causing like a stutter

I check mine reg as its a different bigger manifold lol

Sounds like a similar issue I had with my old one. I replaced all the coils, and the MAF as everyone on here said it had to be one of those two, but still if I planted it, it would missfire and sometimes be so bad it went into limp mode. Replaced all the spark plugs with NGK BKR7E and it solved it.
