Deciding on what wiper arms :S

Hi all,

I have used the search bar but couldn't find a definitive answer just people saying there not sure.

I want to know whether the MK5 golf wiper arms will fit a MK1 Leon?
reason being is there is plenty of them on ebay at reasonable prices and the actual arms look very much the same as the Leons.
I know the wiper blades are 19" passenger & 21" drivers, where as the golf is 19" passenger and 24" drivers. but all I would have to do is buy a smaller blade for the drivers side?

if someone could clear this up for me that would be great...

Yes the aero wiper arms fit & its the passenger 1 that need cutting down

You need mk4 golf/bora ones link in my car in my sig of mine fitted

Hi,

I made a mistake with the MK5 arms recently.
It is only the Golf MK4 wiper arms that fit. They are much rarer. Unfortunately, due to the the fact the passenger side arm doesn't rise far enough above the plastic shuttle near the windscreen, the MK5s don't fit!

Sorry if i'm being dump! But what is the purpose of fitting golf wiper arms?

If its just to be able to fit aero style blades. You can buy retro fit aero blades, which probably cost the same as one wiper arm...

yeh I knew about the mk4 golf/bora arms fit but a lot more expensive than the mk5 golf. was kinda hopin they fit but oh well. I currently have the retro fit aero blades but I think the proper arms and blades look and perform better.

I think the proper arms and blades look and perform better.

They do then combine them with fan jets, it's a job sorted

Worth every penny for the looks & performance,i had retro's before these
