Have something hanging down on nearside wheel of car

Bloody potholes has caused a problem to my car - just by the nearside front wheel is a bit hanging down that looks like its made of metal & has a hole for a bolt I guess.

Anyone any ideas what it might be? someone suggested it may be either inner arch or gearbox cover, but that both of those are made of plastic.

Any suggestions? thanks

It's the plastic side tray .
Should have a wee torque screw through that hole you can see into the subframe.

really? phew...was worried it would end up more expensive!

thanks for your response - so shouldnt be too expensive to put right then? Mechanic coming to service the wifes car in a fortnight, so I can ask him to sort this at same time.

Does anyone have idea of part I need to order to get the screw? Or should I get in touch with Dave the parts man?
