Getting a set of run flats for nothing from a bmw, but dont want to take them and fit if they are going to rub a lot, I only use the 18's in summer and need to change this would save me a fortune, from an e92 BMW, re050's, 255 rear 235 fronts.
Standard answer, check with your insurance company first and see what they say about providing cover with different tyres to the manufacturers specification. I doubt they'll cover you.
I'd say they'll be way off mate! its not just the width,the 40 is the sidewall height which is the percentage of the width,so even if they didn't rub,which I doubt then the speedo and rolling radius will be way out!
