TDI Stage 1 Remap

A question thats been asked a million times before but just wanted to start a fresh post as maps and reputations change.

Looking for a stage 1 map, but with so many to choose from just wanted peoples updated opinions on which map for a TDI PD150

Avoid awesome gti's map at all costs

Best off ringing the said tuners... often easier to get a feel once you speak to them rather than going by forum hype. Seen to many posts blaming mapping companies when its actually a boost leak, tired maf etc.

If they use a smoke machine thats a big plus in my book.

I voted AmD. They're local to me and have done a great job on my stage 1 map

i would say darkside. Specialists in deisel tuning. Why not go for them haha i think i saw on their facebook page they had a completely stock pd130 ibiza and managed to map it to 185bhp!! image what they can get out of a pd150 nearing on 210 possibly

Pd150 is on limits to 200bhp

Mines is putting out 198bhp on a known to be accurate rolling road and its turnec up to the max

Completely forgot to plug Oscarli despite being one of Richards dealers!

Only sells business to business though so you need to find someone who uses his files!

Made my 5k mile old oe clultch slip straight out of the box! Smokes like a 40 a day addict too

like any map it depends how you drive it, i.e for example turning a bend in second and going full boost you will soon slip it,
mine smokes only when i do a short journey starting up when cold, on a long run after cold there is no smoke.
thing is with any derv you get smoke i expected this going from Petrol, it use to smoke before the map though and i have done around 3k on this map the car has 53k on the clock, how many miles has yours done ? even map miles?

Im well aware how to drive a diesel

Had a few pd motors and this one has the worst smoke and map yet

The car is now on 110k miles and it was mapped at 102k miles


You really need to see the car to believe it though, it is immaculate, mechanically the complete intercooler system was cleaned around 10k ago, inc, turbo, egr, inlet, boost pipes, intercooler and i keep everything tip top


The map just isnt that good
