Hey need help. please bounce ideas at me.

I have a 2003 toledo sport 20vt auq. On 90k.
I was definitely getting a wheel bearing noise coming from front drivers side which I noticed more when driving in spain as roundabouts put load on nearside. Got a few quotes while out there. €280!!! so thought I would risk it and get it done when I got home.

Got home changed bearing. Still a bearing noise..... now I have replaced both front bearings. Ball joints, track rod ends. I have even changed all inner and outer cv joints. Still bearing groaning noise!!!!!

I have now fitted new discs and pads as thought maybe slighty warped ( I do tend to drive her hard )
While doing front brakes I wound pistons back and no problems (nothing siezed)

Still have bearing noise!!!! It will sound when driving straight and cornering. It is slight when under load (acceleration) louder when I take my foot off. Noise is still there when I knock her into neutal when rollin down the road.

What can this be?? Would dual mass be a prob as noticed its s little rattley ehen pulling off.

All ideas welcome. Plus if this has happened to you what was the problem???

Thanks for taking time to read this.

i have found hard old tyres to be noisey in the past.
I have also had diff bearings go before but only on the lesser gearboxes found on the polo

Was kinda hoping it aint the diff bearings! I understand the tyres bit. But im a bit of a tyre n brake junky (as like to know can stop in any condition as got kids) tyres are only 9months old and brakes are 2wks old.

I was thinking has anyone had problems with pattern bearings before? Could this be the case of not so highly engineered bearing ( even though got a 2yr warranty with them)

This sound is deff bearing groan!
I like the colour on your lc.

Are the gearbox diff bearings common to go??

Check the rear wheel bearings first. I thought I had a front bearing going but it was the rear on the drivers side. Toledo TDI 150 Sport, also on about 90K

Just an update. Had my gearbox man split the box this week. He could not find a problem but got him to do the diff bearings anyway.
The noise is still there....also just noticed vibrations/noise gets louder when I hit 4k on the revs!!!!

What can it be? Gonna change the rear bearings on tues when im off shift but it still feels like its coming from the front.

Im still open to suggestions and hoping someone else has had thid prob.
Cheers jor

Another update. After driving it yesterday it seems to be making the noise (bearing)when theres no load (foot off accelerator) snd slowing down. it is harder to hear now the dog bone mount has been poly bushed!!! Damn its stiff. Looking forward to it breaking in. But its still there.
As for the other noise (4200 rpm) could it be worn exhaust mounts? Exhaust could be vibrating againgst the floor pan?

Still looking for ideas.
Cheers
