How do you remove Aerial from Ibiza FR MK5?

When I go to unscrew my aerial it doesn't fully unscrews, it seems as though there is a special way to undo it to prevent it being stolen? Would appreciate any advice!

Yep - it is a small attempt at anti theft.

Unscrew till it is loose.

Put a towel or something on the roof so you dont accidentally scratch it.

Give the aeriel a good pull ( yes it will be tight and feel like the base is comming with it )
