Thinking at this point I need to press on and delete the SAI system, will remove most of that hosing/cabling on top of the rocker cover and make it much easier to replace the cover itself. At that point I'll look into sorting the covers out :)

Although at the moment I think my rear brake pads need re-greasing, they're squealing and driving me nuts :/ lol

Looking very good mate. Have you thought about doing all that n249 bypass stuff? I did it on my old 1.8t and never noticed a difference and it brings on the eml.

I considered it to get rid of SAI etc, but Awesome advised against it...so until my SAI pump starts playing up I'll leave it be :)

I've got a few little things done:

cool they look really smart obviously not as nice as the r32 but if you have got to save money then its the right thing to do.
get a build thread up.

No build going to happen with this one, Al. Under warranty for 3 years so not even going to map it :(

Sorry for spamming your thread up, Will :)

Standard FR one I'd guess, Al...

Correct, was the prefacelift one, which basically looks like a standard plastic wheel with a bit of leather stitched on. It was looking quite worse for wear hence getting a newre one.

Really liking the wheel after spending more time with it over the weekend, it's a bit chunkier to grip than the old one and really improves the driving experience more than I thought it would. Took the car to Trax at Silverstone this weekend with a load of mates and was having a good bit of fun there and back, brimmed tank with V-Power and banged in a bottle of Millers Oils CVL Turbo...highly recommended, car felt absolutely awesome and was keeping up with my mates Type-R Turbo fairly well lol
