What did you and your MK2 do today?

I meant general servicing. Discs,cv joints, gaiters, timing belts, aircon gased etc. There are people that either overstretch themselves on the fiancé and going on holiday etc to be able to service it properly or just don't care and drive until it dies. I put new seat brake discs, pads all round and slide pins along with new arms on my leon before 'I sold it. Parts cost 400 odd quid. My current car needs a new cam chain adjuster at £480 for adjuster, chain and gaskets. He tried to remedy it with a cheap replica part instead of an audi part.

Sorry for the bit of a moan. All the best whatever you decide and keep an eye out for unscrupulous/overstretched non-servicers. :)

yeah ones i have been looking at i am making sure all audi service history with low miles but belts etc all replaced to save my costs plus looked into common issues this time (never do when buy cars intend to but dont happen) so i dont get a shock when i drive it home.

love my leon so not going to just jump in and get rid for any **** box thats been cleaned rather wait out little bit for right one or if leon sells for price up for bonus as gives me loads more options as not many people have 1.5-2k+ in back pocket to put on top of there car

Looks like this colour http://bit.ly/15VqKWH

Why can't your dealer supply it yet? You could try your local Trade Parts Specialist. They're genuine VAG parts and slightly cheaper than dealers.

If the dealer can't supply it because there's no UK stock of the part you could potentially be looking at months for them to regain stocks.

Yeah there's no uk stock apparently, I've already paid for one so I'll give them a week or so.
If they can't come up with it, I'm going to try and use it as leverage to get some free coding done (l.e.d rears) when it comes cambelt, water pump and service time in January..
It's funny as the fascia was the only part I expected to be easy.

If they take too long I'll end up getting the one on that link, it looks like the right colour :)

I thought about buying one in any color and painting it, could be the excise I need to paint all the silver on the dash citrus yellow :)

decided to sell the leon :( and get cheaper car to free up some cash to go into house fund and cant help keep looking at mk1 audi tt's 225 quattro version hmmmmm

I had a 225 TT Quattro before I got the K1...it did have some other bits like remap, R32 ARBs, Bluflame cat back, Forge DV and short shift, induction kit etc.

Lovely car and looks good but not the room in the back for 2 kids and the seats don't slide forwards when you want to get anyone in the back, not that you can anyway! Although I did get 2 adults in the back at all sorts of angles!

Here is the final revision graph after a fortnight of tinkering on APR's part this is version 3.31 on a heart break roller that had never seen over 364 on any ko4 prior to this

V3.31 will be released in the uk soon

Revo before (this is the very best result which ranged from 340-364 depending on settings

APR original v3.1 with decat instead of 200 cell sportscat :)

And the finished final version 3.31 to be released is here :)

Attempted to tint my rear lights, tint was cheap stuff off ebay £9 for a large sheet and it was crap, couldnt get it to curve around without badly creasing to the extend I couldn't get the marks out. Ended up giving up put lights back on stock and will be ordering some Laminx

I've spent the afternoon messing around trying to get rid of the 'clock shift' issue. Seems if I disconnect the battery it temporarily goes away but then comes back again soon after

Also had fun with the battery disconnection/ reconnection setting the alarm off and the steering light coming on (but went out after a short drive)

Yesterday I went to a rolling road day organised by a mate through his car club but invited me along to get the numbers up. It was over in Bletchley near Milton Keynes and was a great day, got on the rollers and the car put out more than I was hoping for, got 228 bhp and 350 lbs ft

I was dead chuffed with my graph too as that looks exactly what I was hoping for

I know a lot of these places over read but there was a lot of fiestas there with the mountune mr200 kit on that were all getting results between 195 and 205 so it can't be far out at all
