You want to be telling you're insurance company and showing them receipts for you gearbox rebuild and clutch etc! To help getting it fully repaired or a better pay out! Why should you loose out!

They've just offered me £1800 for it :D They went up to £2000 and said I can buy back at £180. I will be asking for more. Time to do some research and get back to them

Going through my receipts I realised I'd short-changed myself on the gearbox/clutch job. 8k miles ago it had a new clutch, DMF, "clutch kit" (I think this was the slave/master cylinders) and the gearbox rebuild (was mostly to repair the syncro on 1st which had destroyed itself after the clutch failed) and it set me back £1,236.31

I've sent them copies of the most recent work, ie the £275 of tyres and £120 of brake pads that are 2k miles old, and the gearbox/clutch work that is 8k miles old

Nah, nothing wrong with me that wasn't already. Can't stand people who make fraudulent injury claims so I certainly won't do so myself. I want what I'm entitled to, ie a new car that is as good as or better than the one that this dozy cow has screwed for me

why thank you , your a bit of a ****** yourself jumping the gun I was merely offering an opinion to Antnee not u

and for your information I pay what's due what they ask each year if I get it cheaper I move if not I stay

and I've never made a claim not on either of my 4 full comp policies for each vehicle /bikes so why would I fcking moan

even had two bikes pinched years ago and for what they were worth I didn't claim just left the insurance ran until the end so I could collect my years no claims

nobhead

Antnee just that's how I would feel being offered peanuts as a payout through not your fault obviously out of pocket
