Nice motor. I notice your Cruise Control is on that third stalk. The demo FR I drove had that and personally didn't like that set up because it's almost hidden out of sight when driving and not very easy to operate down there. Was pleasantly surprised to find on my new FR that the CC had returned to the indicator stalk - unexpected bonus :D

Does your car have the Driver Assist Pack? I *think* that's why my CC is on the third stalk, because the button on the end of my indicator stalk brings up the driver assist menu where you enable/disable the lane assist.

This would match my car then. My car has the Driver Assist Pack and has the third stalk if I remember correctly (collecting the car on Thursday).

No Drive Assist Pack on mine so that could well explain it. The demo I drove did not have this feature though.

Mine has the Driver Assist pack so probably explains the 3rd stalk, as said before CC can be operated by either indicator or 3rd stalk

I thought from the earlier post that the reason for fitting the third stalk was because the driver assist button was on the indicator stalk. If so how can you operate the CC from that stalk if the end button is for driver assist - or am I missing something (probably am!)

Don't think that the driver assist is activated via the 3rd stalk, I had to go into settings to turn it on. In the handbook (page167) it states"to switch on the CCS system move the switch(1) on the turn signal lever or move the 3rd lever to the on position, bit strange to have 2 ways to turn it on. I tried mine yesterday and activated via 3rd stalk and adjusted speed via the indicator stalk. You can use either stalk to turn on and alter speed- it's all very strange I tell thee

I read it that you either turn in on via the switch on the indicator stalk OR the third stalk.

The manual is really not clear on this - I guess it's just trial and error. I didn't order the assistance pack so I imagine I won't get the extra stalk. From what I read in the manual, in some ways the third stalk seems a better way to do it - assuming that it doesn't get in the way. Where is it mounted compared to the indicator stalk?

The 3rd stalk is located underneath the indicator stalk, as I said before it seems strange to be able to use it off either stalk. I used yesterday on both the 3rd and indicator stalk and had no problems. You don't need to see the stalks to operate the CC, it's pretty easy really and functions well

Thanks for that. From the manual it certainly looks easier to adjust the speed from the extra stalk. I have CC on my Leon Mk1 and find the combined stalk not brilliant to use apart from engaging and disengaging the CC. Speed adjustments are not easy so I tend to just accelerate or brake to the new speed I want and just engage it

Third stalk? Mine is on the indicator, full beam stalk and I only have two? It is the same arrangement as my mk 6 Golf. Easy to use and fairly intuitive. Wasthe dealer on the demo near a Nuclear power station? :)

Loving the colour!! I've got a 5dr FR in Alor Blue which is due to arrive in the next week or so and can't wait.

On the third stalk discussion, I currently have an Exeo ST with CC and it's on a third stalk whereas my wife's Ibiza has one on the combined indicator stalk. Personally I much prefer the third stalk and find it really easy to use whereas the combined seems more of a faff. The SE I tested before ordering my FR had the third stalk which I was happy about but I guess it looks like I might end up with the combined. Will see what appears when the car finally gets here.
