Just having a look on hids4u.co.uk and noticed you are able to buy a HID kit for reflectors, now im presuming these will be no where as good as in projectors? However better than standard lamps?

has anyone had any experience with these?

Yes they are a worthy upgrade, buy H7R HID kit, these are meant for reflector headlights

I have a set of H7R HIDs that I've had fitted to my Pug 306 for over a year, I'll be fitting them to my Cupra. Ive had no issues with blinding oncoming traffic and the light pattern is fine

I live in South Devon
have a quick question on this one, is a H1R kit made for the main beam or don't people bother as oncoming drivers wont be so affected as you will be dipping, my other thought is if a H1R kit is made does it give a better beam pattern than non R, I cant seem to find H1R kits, but many H7R.

Cheers Chris

I've not come across one when I've been searching, H1 are high-beam only and therefore would be dipped in normal conditions as you said. Similar thing with H3 (fog light bulbs).

I *think* most people said it wouldn't be worth it as most times the H7Rs are good enough on their own and the H1s take too long to warm up to be used to flash another drive in thanks etc.
