Sat Nav Overheating - Factory system

Hi All,

I have a 10 plate, 143 SE Tech (Estate) with the factory Bose system and Sat Nav.

When I first brought the car I had some Bluetooth Microphone issues which resulted in the microphone being replaced. Since that time I have had another issue.

When using the Sat Nav & taking some long journeys, 2 hours+ my media unit has had some issues. It seems that after some time, it seems to overheat and crash the whole unit. The CD is red hot, almost untouchable. I have to wait 10-15 minutes before being able to use it again (the Sat Nav that is)

Has anyone else had something similar? I'm quite certain a fan has been blocked since my bluetooth microphone replacement but I want to make sure there isn't an issue I should be aware of before I moan at the dealership :)

Any help appreciated,

Cheers

I wonder if a wire from the stereo loom has managed to poke into the fan recess and stop it from turning? IIRC the fan isn't recessed very far
