Hiya guys.

So over last few weeks I have been having boost issues. When hitting 15 psi of boost id get a muffled noise from the exhasut the car would not boost any more then drop into limp mode. But soon as used throttle again it would boost and do the same.

How ever if I dab the throttle it builds up boost slightly.

Last night on way home from work I lost all boost. And now its stuggles to gain anything over 0 psi on the boost gauge.

Idle is fine fine tho and generally drives ok apart from lack of boost.

Have scanned with a scanner and no fault codes are showing

Just had a mate have exactly the same symptoms on his 1.8t mk4 golf,Boost was eratic for a while then one day it just dissappeared!!Took turbo off found it was seized solid,turbine wouldn't spin atall!!!

Check the wastegate vacuum
