Just wondering has anyone fitted LED number plate bulbs? want a set for my Leon but have seen a few cars about with very bright bulbs that am not fussed on but some with dimmer ones that id like on mine! Was wondering if anyone could advise me on a set! Thanks in advance. :)

I got mine from HID Direct, however I don't have a facelift Mk2 so cant advise on bulb error.

No problems with my number plate ones though and they were around £12 for the pair I think.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, but people can't be bothered to do it.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pre-wired...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53f303273e x 2

4 x scotch lock connectors

2 x sidelight bulbs

Scotchlock the bulb holders into the number plate light wiring. Insert bulb into holder. You now have a completely error free circuit. My number plate bulbs have no resistors in at all...

That's an amazing idea

Use a 5w bulb and bulb holder as a resistor and pop it up inside the bumper hole. Job done, no light visible from the 5w bulb and no nasty wire wound resistors getting up to thermo nuclear temps either.

There you go>>>>>>>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T10-W5W-1...CarParts_SM&hash=item5d3988f135#ht_3223wt_975
Just pop a 5w5 bulb in it and use 2 scotchlocks to connect it as a resistor.

Indeed, I wonder who thought of it?!

Yep,

It works like a charm. A few months ago I had a bulb warning flag up for the reg plate light. checked and found one of my resistor bulbs up inside the bumper had blown. Changed it and all is fine again. They were old bulbs floating about in my shed so I guess it's OK.

Is there no problem with the heat from the bulbs inside the bumper?
