Boot spoiler

So I arrived home from work today to realise my boot spoiler cover has been blown off in the bad weather,

I drive a MK1 Fr Tdi.

Will any MK1 spoiler cover fit or will it have to be from a Fr?

you mean the top half of the spoiler? if so its easier to buy a spoiler off ebay but make sure you buy the right one, early leons upto 02 i think had a stubby spoiler and then beyond that it was the cupra r style larger one

Yeah thats it, so I now have the white cheap plastic showing. So any mk1 Leon 03 onwards should fit? Ideally I find a black one.

Can anyone confirm if any spoiler from 03 onwards will fit my FR. Even if its from a 1.6 petrol, 1.9tdi Or Cupra?

Watch the colour if you are after black - there are two shades.

any one will fit but the prefacelift models have a shorter spoiler yours being the FR will have a longer one by about an inch. Im gonna say that your FR will also have the paint code of LC9Z which is black magic metallic the cupra R in black is ebony black, not quite the same

Cheers guys. Made the hunt even harder now I know there is 2 shades of black.

Leon cupras will have the same shade. Tbh you can get away with a black lcr one if you get someone to spray it at a guess would be about 30 quid

Found one on ebay from a 2000 cupra and the paint code is apparently LC9Z so this will match colour but be shorter than mine?

Yeah thats fine and yeah will be shorter make sure it has the bolts with it

It's not the end of the world if you can't find the right colour to match your car. You could always wrap it like I did...

wrapped mine too

was camo before spoiler was wrapped after i bought a larger oner so you can see the difference, silver underneath

How easy/hard is it to wrap it perfectly? I do like that. Iv bought a bla k one from a cupra R so I assume its the wrong black but might look ok.

not really hard its mainly the corners and making sure its clean beforehand works best with it off the car too use a heat gun/hairdryer and use decent vinyl to make sure it releases air
