Connector plug on top of gearbox?!

Hey.

I noticed the other day I have a broken clip connector to the top of my gearbox and the wire is just dangling loose.

What is it for? My initial thought was it's the reverse light but that works perfectly fine? It's not the speed sensor either as my mpg display and rpm works fine too.

I'm thinking it might be why it's jerky setting off from standstill but hmmm not sure! Plus that's a petrol I think.

You've got VCDS, run some logs of the speed sensor and see if you get a reading or not

I've just thought, speedo working? If so, can't be the speed sensor or that'll flash errors!

I've stuck the wire on the connector and about to go for a long drive so I'll report back if it's made a difference to anything!

Could be your reversing light switch..put it in reverse and check if your light is on?

No mate reverse light works perfectly.
