Hi all,
Recently I bought a mk1 20vt 180 1.8t. I had a few problems with it when I bought it but now there all fixed.
I'm thinking of going stage 2, but I am unsure what I would need. I have an induction kit (pipecross viper) and a dump valve (baileys) however these where on the car when I bought it.

Could anyone suggest a list of what I'd need and a idea what power id be running?

Cheers guys.

I though the baileys were rated up untill 1 bar boost (Ive read that somewhere)?

I would advise:
-fresh n75
-fresh oil
-fresh sparks (ngk)
-FMIC
-3" downpipe decat/sportcat
-2.5" catback
-SFS/Forge Turbo Intake Pipe (TIP)
-Forge/APR DV
-Check for vacuum/boost leaks

I've been looking at cupra R brembo's, but I've been told fitting is a nightmare, spacers are needed etc.. I believe it's easier just to get some updated grooved, drilled brake discs , correct me if I'm wrong?

There is a upgrade to 312 mm discs cupra/fr discs I think some earlier cars were 288 mm ,using the same caliper but you will need the carrier bracket also ebc discs and pads are good I have standard oe spec ebc discs and they haven't warped at all and I warped my old APEC discs !

Hi pal.
stage 2 would require a decent cai. A turbo back exhaust system inc sports cat. And a stage 2 remap.!
Smic is still ok for this power output but a fmic would aid temperatures and give a few extra bhp..!
after this to get more power youd be into serious money ie defo need a fmic as its turbo upgrage time etc.!!!:D then fuelling etc etc....! Endless list if money isnt an issues...! Get it done.....!!

If your going to start upgrading brakes aswell.have a look at what all that little lot will cost ,map £350, front mount £200, down pipe £100, tip £80, exhaust £300, secondhand brembos £400, you may aswell buy a cupra r, i made the same mistake with my lc180
