1.2 Tdi - any experiences?

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying the wife a 1.2 Tdi (not the ultra Eco one, just the normal one) and would appreciate any feedback on the engine such as MPG, refinement, gearing, etc.

It will be used for a 50 mile daily commute, all cross country on A and B roads, hardly ever on the motorway.

I averages 37.5mpg in mine, actual mpg that is

VERY RELIABLE - CRAP ON FUEL - well my eco is never above 60 mpg in 3 years
