Reversed out of my drive this morning and got a grinding noise from the front end possibly front left but not sure, what could it be only happens when reversing. My brakes are on there way out and are being replaced next week but I don't think its brake related as its only happening when reversing. I'll get the garage to check when its in for its brakes but I would like to know what it could be. Cheers.

It could be the brakes remember they wear in a forward travelling motion so if the disks are scorn or the pads maybe down to the metal on the inside pad which will cause a grinding noise

Sounds silly but have you checked the undertray?

I had this recently and I was convinced it was the drive shafts but turns out it was just the undertray falling down a bit and rubbing on the tyres
