rns510 can gateway

hi i have being trying to update my can gateway via seat dealer and vw and no one wants to know i know you may buy these online but which one do i need e.g. software wise eta i know mine at the moment is 0170 any help would be great as i want my nav working and also need to update the rns510 unit but won't let me as when i put disk in it says clamp state

What are the actual problems you are having? Its hard to tell from your sentence.

Regarding the clamp state message:
Remove the disc, change the clock on the dash from 12h to 24hr (or vice versa) Press Setup, i and Eject and then try again.

hi dan problem is i can't receive a gps signal. i have installed new gps antenna etc. regarding clamp state you can't change the clock on dash to 24hr or viva versa or if you can please let me know,my mate plugged it into vagcom and said i need to update can gateway. Any help on this will be great as i want to keep the rns510 unit in and use it as a sat nave etc thanks
