In the process of swapping my tdi fr for a cupra , when searching I'm getting completely head fcuked with what mods are actually needed to get a stage two map that I'm hoping to go to straight away . So from a bog standard cupra what mods and at what price is everything I'm looking at? Will go with Apr for the map as I've used them before and seem highly rated still . Also will clutch need replacing or is that stage 2+ issue

I've just bought a cupra mate and I'm in the process of gathering bits ready for stage 2 power

As far as I'm aware all that's needed for stage 2-

Uprated intake such as revo/ITG/Neuspeed
3" turbo back (de-cat or a sports cat system)
Cooler is optional as the mk2 Cupra one is good enough for 375 (sure I read that)
Then obviously a good map/software such as revo/APR/GLAC

Stage 2 power is anywhere from 330-350

Stage 2 + is the above with a high pressure fuel pump and again cooler is optional
Again mapping/software to suit

Stage 2+ power can be as high as 385 bhp

I think that's about right mate..... I'm sure others will tell me otherwise if there's any bits that are wrong.

Clutch can go after stage one just depend on the condition.

Usually air intake, REVO. Ect.

Turbo back exhaust but I'm sure a down pipe with sports car or decat will be fine. And there you go

So I'm looking at 411 for downpipe and decat , 230 intake and 500 for a map and I'm good to go with a few quid saved back I case the clutch starts to go ?

Well if the clutch goes you're looking at around £1200 to replace the lot, and if you replace it you might aswell go single mass, to stop it from chewing through another clutch in no time.

I wouldn't expect the clutch to last long at stage 2, I think they are rated to 300lbft. Add a bit of wear to it and I would say that you can almost guarantee it will slip. Might as well play it safe and uprate it from the off.

I've just paid 6k for a 57 plate Leon cupra (full s/h 67k) bought private... Got the seller down from £6500

It's cost me upto now

£181 (eibach sportlines)
£234 (Neuspeed P-Flow intake)
Booked in at exhaust uk next week for 3" turbo back £700

Next I'll get booked in at statller for a GLAC map. That a probably about £500

So with the above it's cost me just shy of £1500 (power mods) to go stage 2.... And that's buying new parts.... Cheaper if you get 2nd hand bargains

I'm going to go ahead and go for a stage 2 map

I'll replace the clutch if and when it starts to slip

Id definitely recommend upgrading the air intake to something larger like a Revo/Evoms/ or MTC otherwise you won't be making full potential of the car at stage 2 with a PFlo

I was going to buy the evoms intake to start with, I decided for the price of that I may as well buy the Neuspeed P-Flow as well as eibach springs for the same price.

The MTC kit is also a nice bit of kit, I can't see why it's any different to the P-Flow I have...... The bore size of the P-flow isn't any different..... In fact the P-flow is a nice mandrel bent piece of piping with a filter on the end..... Same as the ITG also.... The ITG is 3" which is slightly bigger

The turbo inlet is the same size no matter what cold air Intakes fitted
