Service Again !!

Hi, Im wondering if some1 could help i got my car serviced 2 weeks ago 18000 miles (long life) and i got in my car tonight and i got a message saying service due in 1000 mile or 233 days calling dealer tomorrow just thought some1 might know what has happened

Yeah long life is 20k so clearly they didn't reset the service interval plonkers !

Thanks , Thts my first thought but i got the message before i got it service right down to service due 100 miles then it was away for 2 weeks then starts with 1000 miles again tonight strange. They must have reset it to make the 100 miles to service go away.

You can check it in the car menu, there are two intervals one oil the other service. Hopefully they've done both at the same time, but they are spaced differently (mine started out about 1k apart, its now more like 800).

As above it would seem they may have reset your 'Oil servive' trip cound but not your visual inspection one (They do both at the same time on the 1st service).

Although I found that after my 1st service (That ended up being around 17,000 miles) that the oil change service is now set every 10,000 and the visual inspection every 20,000.......

(My car is a 150 2.0 TDI FR with DSG)

Thanks for the replies, i called them today guy just said come in we'll reset it (no apology for their mistake )
