my after market radio goes off when you pull away

Hi there all I am after a bit of advice with my leon mk1 fr. Just fitted an after market radio / dvd player. All works as it should when you turn the ignition on and all functions saved when ign is turned on and off. But when you go to pull away it all goes off and when you stop at a set of light it comes back on.

Any ideas would much be welcome.

dvd player headunits do have a hand brake cable when the hand break iz on the dvd player works when its down it goes off as a safety thing to stop you driving while watching a dvd. It could be that ...
