If the the insurance seems really cheap there's a reason. All these companies are crap at paying out. Your better off paying a reputable company than deal with the hassle of trying to get your money. If you can't afford it then your driving the wrong car! Rant over

I never said I can't afford it. But alot of people go with Adrian flux and other specialist companies and I bet nobody knew that about them so letting people no. Rant over.

I didn't like the bloke on the phone at Adrian flux too pushy and too cocky .

Have you tried Chris Knott insurance yet ?

So Johnny tried Chris Knotts this morning. They cut Adrian flux by £20 so it's £499. The company they use to under write it is good from all accounts she said she has it with 'her baby' as she said lol.

Only is issue is that the excess is eye watering. £750 bags. Which is a lot but I've never claimed in 3 years so. I dunno lol.

Your excess is more than you insurance... Seems siily. My last year insurance was 250 no voluntary excess. I'd never have a higher excess than my insurance value. 499 is good tho.

Wowser Oli that's a lot ive never had an excess that big before i can understand why you would be nervous about it. I personally would try get them to lower it (lower the excess in exchange for buying the policy ) nothing to loose by asking, its your cash and your policy mate price isn't always the winner for me if it feels right and your confident with them then buy it if not don't coz you don't want to spend the year worrying about having a bump and been out of pocket or the claim not being dealt with correctly.
If you do buy it from them don't forget to give them my name then i get £20 of my renewal ;)

I feel better in the company that's going to underwrite them. I've google and haven't found pages and pages of bad reviews like the last one.

Jarre - £1250 jeez that's a lot.

Knowing me I will get it and bump the day after haha.

Yeah will try and see if they can lower it but I doubt it. And paying monthly which I will have to do only comes out at £520 so only £21 more which is good. Hopefully in two years time when I'm 25 it will drop abit.

And don't worry Johnny I will let them know you recommended me :D

Had my Mk2 Cupra a month, my exhaust tip is completely black. I wanted a shiny one! Haven't got any polish for that sort of thing so tried Swarfega, didn't really do anything so tried sandpaper! Worked a treat and looks like brushed alloy haha. Might have to get some high temperature exhaust paint.

Went out testing the new brake pads......nearly crapped myself! Approximately half pedal travel locked my warm tyres at about 70.......better get used to these quickly or driving the car will be a scary experience everyday! ;)
