DSG Paddle replacement

Has anyone got any experience of replacing the paddles for the dsg gearbox? They look a bit cheap and there are some nice carbon fibre ones on ebay that would look much better
Will i need ones specific for the Mk3 Leon? Are they difficult to change?

I have ones on my MKII - they come with sticky pads and are simple to fit. I've actually glued mine on and pads weren't the best.

I'm going to do this with my Cupra 280 when it arrives.

Loving the DSG on my loan FR TDI but the paddles are tiny

The eBay jobs usually just stick on over the existing switches, as stated above, so no pulling stuff to bits is required.

Why not just fit the ones off the S3, I think they look better than any of the carbon stick on ones available and personally I think those look cheap and nasty.

From my understanding you have to rip the steering wheel apart to replace them, remove the airbag etc?

Not for me.
