Air pump pipe

So yesterday I fitted a cone filter to my LC and have removed the airbox completely.There was a pipe that connected to the front end of the airbox that a mechanic friend of mine tells me goes to the air pump and suggests I put a filter on it. Can any one tell me what filter I require?

Most people dont put a filter on it. It's for the secondary air intake system, which is only used on cold start to get the cat up to temp I believe.

Yes Dave it is for the secondary air intake system and my mechanic suggested putting a filter on the pipe as in the long run if any sh*t gets in to it a new pump will be a lot more expensive than a couple of quid I can spend on a filter.
