Well coming home yesterday after a long drive, in 6th put my foot down and at about 3k ish it revs up clutch is on it's way out I guess, 4th it done it up a hill,

Careful driving now for a bit,

Question is I guess it's defo the clutch ?
How much could I expect to pay for a new clutch fitted ?

Are standard clutchs fine for a remapped car ?

Thanks

What mileage is your car at? Is it the original clutch on the car from new if you know? And to be honest mate flooring it from 6th on 3k rpm is gonna make your clutch slip even if its healthy cause of the high torque car produces at such low rpms. If you keep rpms up and floor it your clutch wont slip.

^Sorry buts that not totally true, If it slips under those conditions then its not up to the job. So an upgrade or replacement would be the fix for that. I've driven plenty of cars running mega torque that don't slip when doing so.

144k miles can't see and paperwork for a new clutch,

Would a standard clutch be ok for a remap car ?

How much could I expect to pay in labour. ?

Cheers

What engine have you got? Diesels tend to need an uprated clutch if remapped to make sure it will be ok as they have a lot of torque. Petrols are normally ok on standard clutches. My LCR is fine after 87000 miles running stage 1 torque on its original clutch.
