I know very similar topics have been discussed often but I can't quite find the answer to my particular issue.
I've a '57 plate Altea and the other day the service indicator "spanner" came on flashing at start up, then went off after a while.
In the past the spanner has come on with a mileage, i.e. miles till service, but it has never just flashed on its own. I could find no reference to this in the manual and there is no other warning light. Service isn't due for another couple of thousand miles.
Is there a problem here that I'm not aware of? Any advice?
