Speedo lights wont go out

As per title, when driving the car the lights on the speedo cluster light up as they should. When i stop and turn the ignition off lights stay on and then when you pull the keys out of the ignition the lights go out, again as they should but as soon as the door is locked with the button they come on and stay on..

Any ideas?? Thanks.

I had the same thing happen to my old cupra mate. After extensive search online I found some ppl who had the same problem. It was few years ago now but all I remember is that clock's electric panel corroding. Sry I don't have a link for you but am sure if you search further, you'll find more info and what ppl did to fix the problem. Good luck.

well i had the headlight switch burn out on me the other night so had to buy a new switch but unsure if that was the problem or if theres another underlying problem thats causing the lights to stay on and then burnt the switch out.
