Bluetooth OBD2 permanently plugged in ?

Bought one of them off amazon for about 4 quid to use with the android app Dash.

Are these safe to leave plugged in all the time ? As soon as I plugged it in it lit up, so I'm assuming there's always power to it ?

It doesnt do anything else then transmitting a signal so there are no obstructions to leave it in.
I allways drive with a cheapass obd2 bluetooth ELM 327 unit in because of a N112, N249 mod which should be written of by the chiptuner.
