Excuse my ignorance, gents, but a hybrid turbo, to me, is one with a built-in electric motor. I sense that this isn't what is being mentioned here. Can someone put me straight, please?

It's usually a turbo build with a combination of OEM casings and bigger/tuned Compressor wheel or tuned turbine wheel.

Thing to note with these is that the machining, rebuild and balancing of the turbo is critical! Obviously everyone needs to start somewhere, and comments like this can be stiffling for a new business (sorry!) but I'd put my trust in some of the more established companies for Hybrid turbos.

Proof in the pudding is in the mileage they run. I think a lot of people are wary of hybrids as a lot have had/read about trouble in the past with some manufacturers having turbos go pop after a few thousand miles. I'm not casting doubt on your supplier, merely saying why I think there is skepticism around the subject.
