Has anyone got a guide or removed the Air con on a TDI Cupra?
I searched the forum and It looks like a few people have had a go, listing shorter belts and a different tensioner? Just need a bit more info on what's involved!
Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers!

New tensioner and shorter belt.

Might as well remove the condenser and all pipework. Can't program the Aircon out of the Climatronic though, so it'll always flash on start up with errors.

I had my air con removed and now use a 6pk975 belt. Don't think you need to change tensioner? Been running perfectly for the last 3 years now.

Thanks for the info! Did you get any error codes as Badger mentioned?
Also apart from all the weight removal, did you notice any improvement ?
Thanks again

No error codes. I removed my air con as it was broken but you'd be hard pushed to notice any difference.
I also moved my 19kg battery to the boot and you certainly feel the difference with that!

No nothing. You can do a fault code read which shows a some Air con fault which can be expected as it's been removed.
