Hi all!
Not posted on here in a long time, been very busy trying to build up my detailing business for the last couple of years. Been running around in a 1.2 S Ibiza for the last year, but this weekend I purchased a metallic grey 07 Mk2 Leon 2.0 TDi 140 Stylance with the DSG gearbox. I fancied something different hence going for the DSG, heard alot of good things about it and it is SO smooth to drive, very nice indeed.
Anyway, I thought I would post up pics of this car and the jobs needing done on it. Like all 2nd-hand cars it needs some TLC, but the paint is in excellent condition and it came with a full and comprehensive service history, 2 previous owners, all old MOTs and tax discs, taxed and MOT'd, HPI clear so it's all good. Drives very well, no funny noises or clunks, rattles nothing.
First job was to replace the offside rear outer tail light, which had both corners broken off it:
Got a replacement unit off Ebay for £30, so cleaned it up, cleaned up and sealed the aperture with acrylic sealant then fitted the replacement unit.
I machine polished all of the rear lights to remove all of the scratches and marks then sealed them up with acrylic sealant. Look like new now!
Will I modify it? Not really, I'll never do another car like my old Leon - but I will tidy it up and get it in top-notch condition, make some small subtle changes but that's about it.
It needs the alloy wheels refurbished and a couple of small dents sorted. I'd like to change the exhaust tips for something a wee bit larger and stainless steel to look better. It will have a full machine polish correction detail and ceramic coating, interior is in excellent condition just needs a clean. Brake calipers and hubs will be rubbed down and painted in silver and/or black.
