Ok next issue....
Found that a whiff of smoke under the bonnet at the front turned out to be a broken dipstick!
However now when the car sits and idles I get a lot of smoke out the back... It's not steam it's a bluey white colour like oil... Level is right in the engine. But when I drive it it seems to clear after about ten seconds. Then when I stop again after a few secs it reappears!
It's doing my head in!
Any ideas?

Several possibilites really mate. Either -

Blocked Breather system.
Turbo leaking oil into the exhaust or compressor.
Valve stem oil seals.

Is there any smoke at start-up ? Do you have a de-cat by any chance ?

I had this issue. Fairly common.

Thrust bearing in turbo lets oil through into the exhaust, when there is no boost pressure, on idle. I sent my turbo off to AET and they rebuilt it. K03s.

Rough prices if I've remembered them correctly.
Plain rebuild with new bearing - £300
Rebuild with new bearing and a new hotside ( prone to cracking, mine was) - £400
Rebuild, new hotside and updated thrust bearing - £500

I got the third option and it's been fine since. They do offer a warranty but it's pretty much void if you fit it yourself...
