Passenger side rear brake caliper has seized on the inside of disc, no pad left, just left with the backing plate going straight onto the disc, so got tiny metal shavings stuck on the wheel and rear side of bumper. Changing the dics and pads this weekend, done it before but don't know how I will sort the sticking caliper out, anyone got any ideals? Also how do I get the metal shavings off the bumper without damaging the paintwork?

Got mine from sere motors a while back, genuine seat and they're still doing 40% off brakes! I just bought some rear discs and pads from them for £87.

Icestorm could you describe symptoms please as my rear brakes are playing up.
Do yours slam off when you release handbrake from being parked up overnight?

Looked into it a bit and apparently rear calliper Pistons tend to seize a little. Some kind of spring being the new solution or a new calliper...
Cheers

My handbrake was sticking slightly in a morning so i put the above springs on and now the handbrake is much better. no sticking and less travel. £7 from ebay and minutes to fit

Yeah they work fine on an LCR fitted them to mine last week as I had a poor handbrake and all seems fine now, try and clean behind the caliper where the lever for the handbrake is with a bit of wd40 and a wire brush and make sure the levers move up and down, had mine sticking due to all the crap behind the lever, cleaned it and all is well

No, I not noticed anything when I release the handbrake.
