My Silver K1 & Track 172 Cup

Got a few things for the clio.
First I got me weld in seat rails
Only doing the drivers side as I'll probably run 1 seat.
Next is to sort the rear axle out. The rear axle on these flex a lot aparrantly, so plan is to find a 182 rear axle as they run 24mm torsion bars (not sure what my cup runs atm lol)
So to get rid of the bushes I've gone for the puremotorsport bearing conversion kit.
Should look like this when fitted
Also got a stiffening kit
will have to cut a lot of brackets and spring plates off, aswell as reroute the brake pipes and hand brake cables.
Finished product should be like this
Last of all this is a picture of a Clio Cup Racer hubs
These are worth ££££ like 1K plus and you have to run the cup racer Bilsteins and top mounts which are more ££££ even second hand the prices are mental, but you the handling characteristics are ment to be awesome, so it's worth it.
I've a agreed with a guy to machine my hubs to the same spec as the cup racers, zinc coat them and supply me the roll centre and bump steer kit can't wait for this costing me £650 tho but I'll have the same setup as the cup racers and be able to use my coilovers and top mounts
I'll also be upgrading my wishbones to bearings, removing the pas and adding light weight pulleys.

Just read this from start to finish. Both the Leon and the Clio looks great, makes me want a track car / project so bad! Top work.

Also got some spare cup hubs off ebay as my hubs have gone to be machined
Also have a a 406 V6Coupe brembo master Cylinder that I may have to replace mine with as mine soon won't be upto the job

On other news the leon is getting a bit a love again. Loads a parts on order while the clios in the garage awaiting its racing hubs
Big news tho me and berg are gunna arrange a trip to the ring around June.
Be staying in the lindner congress hotel above the Nurburg casino right by ring werks
Anyone interested in making the trip?

Got a forge BOV kit just for a laugh really.
As VolkswagenRacing is round the corner from my work managed to get an intake to try out
Fuel pump follower
Thought I'd try these to stop the inside misting up
Replacement light for the left outer as its been cracked
Also have some brembo discs and pads for the front as starting to get low.
One of the reason I like the K1 is its so symetrical, having a bit of OCD the rear lights bug me, as the reverse light and fog lights don't match.
So brought this

Some nice additions. I need a new outer light as it doesnt light up as well as the right side. Won't the reverse light be red now though?
