Sorry I have serached but can't find an exact answer to this!!! Please help as i need to sort this Saturday!

I've got to replace the std front discs and pads on my '03 Leon Cupra 20vT (remapd to 210) std alloys also.. What would be a best 'budget' upgrade for them?

Am i right to say the discs are currently 312mm? I was thinking maybe larger plain discs but better pads.

Cheers.

Cant go larger discs without bigger calipers / new carriers to move caliper out. On my LC I went for the Brembo Max disc (312) and Red Stuff pads. I do alot of track days and they are spot on, well coupled with automec dot 5 and goodridge braided hoses. But im looking into big porka upgrade.

Brembo discs and pads = circa £200 for the front and youl still need a spoon to scrape your face off the windscreen! LOL!

I changed my front discs on my cupra with ebc turbo groove discs (same size as standard) and black diamond predator pads, been happy with them. I have found them a definite improvement over the standard setup especially in the wet.

Rears were changed recently and I just went with standard discs and pads on the rear. The fronts do most of the work so couldn't see the benefit in upgrading the rears.

Today I had the Black Diamond grooved discs and Predator pads fitted to the rear of my LCR, replacing worn-out OEM parts. Definite improvement, but then the discs and pads that were on were in a pretty bad way.

Will update once they've bedded in.

I paid £197 for the discs and pads from motorsportworld.co.uk, fitted at my local independent for £40.

Have now driven 100 miles with them fitted and noticed a major improvement, much more than I was expecting. I was under the impression that the brembos did 90% of the braking ;)

Again, this will be partly due to the poor condition of the discs and pads that were replaced.

Apologies for digging up an ancient thread.

So just to confirm the 4 pot brembos from LCR will fit 20vt

Obviously with 323mm discs etc

Id just upgrade the pads and fluid personally.

Ive dont lots of track work and ive had excellent results from carbon lorraine, pagids and performance friction, some gt3 cars in the blancpain series use performance friction too.

For brake fluid i would opt for a good quality dot 4. The gulf competition rf1000 even tho its dot4 has one of the highest boiling points so your never going to cook your fluid.

Just remember, performance comes at a price.
