i went for the s2000 filter, its cheap and sounds mint. but took it back off as it causing the car to drink the fuel.

I saw a ram air one for a decent price on flebay, think it was £80 and comes with a heat shield. Was thinking about getting this soon, not sure on quality etc but heard good things about ram air filters in the past...
Also have a look at the neuspeed p-flow, bit more expensive but is looks like a nice bit of kit

Hey guys,

I've seen the following one Pipercross Induction Kit for £102. Comes just as that tho, no heat shield or cold air feed and this is off www.awesomegti.com

Just try an S2000 one to start with and see if you like it. I didn't mind it but got annoying.

Put an SFS 80mm TIP on mine and feel that's money better spent than an induction kit.

I took the S2000 filter off, went back to OEM Airbox with a piperX element in it

I have a k&n and hate it with a passion just ordered a s2000 filter as there cheap and a good alternative to the oil based air filters!!! I have the badger 5 tip and I can't fault that awesome kit

I have a Ram-Air one fitted (mentioned further up the thread) with the heatshield. Does the job brilliantly for me. Have had Ram-Air filters on previous motors and never had any problem's. Quality is spot on and fitting is a doddle.

I've got an ITG one in ours which we would swap for an original air box setup. it gives you a decent intake sound.

Speaking about the s2k filter I've got a 2005 leon fr auq and was wondering what size reducer I need to get one fit? and are there any other modifications I would need to make to get it to fit?

When i put an S2000 filter on mine the power was well down for some reason,as if it was strangling the engine....put a different filter on and the power was back. Was off ebay though so it could have been a fake.

Personally I would smooth airbox and put a panel filter in with a 3" cold air feed and Badger 5 80mm TIP .

I dont think the induction kits are worth the money, especially considering the price if them with a heatsheild.

I also remember reading on here that the gains arent that great either. just my two cents . lol

Didn't fancie modding my airbox tbh, I want a cone or induction kit as I have the forge 007 dump valve and want more chatter from this aswell as performance.

Not fussed about a massive gain as were booked in for a remap soon

Where you off for the remap mate?

I might still have an old cone that I ran on the cupra R for a bit, could try it and see if you like the sound before shelling out any cash
